Bonn has gained a strong reputation for being a city with great shopping opportunities and is home to one of the biggest pedestrianised precincts in the whole of Germany. Nearby, the Kaiserpassage shopping mall is worth searching out and contains a selection of gift shops, fashion boutiques and more. Located in the heart of the old town Bad Godesberg area, the Kaiserpassage Mall is a relatively new addition to the city's shopping scene and stands off the Kaiserplatz. This prominent public square with a central fountain and many shady trees, is sandwiched between both the university and the main Bonn train station, and opposite a charming church.
